Need help!
Ok so today i drove my car it was fine . But then all of a sudden the battery light came on for a quick second then shut off so i didnt think much of it. So parked it for a few hours came back to start it up and now its not turning over.
Weird thing is that when u turn the key to where your cel and battery lights supposed to come on dont show up. Only at times. No start or anything. Everything still has power. Light are fine. Srs/abs ebrake light are all on. Try to start it and it just does nothing but fan kicking.
When the cel and other lights come on u can hear the fuel pump kicking. When not on its just dead silent. Try start it and rpm just jumps and then a ticking sound from the passenger side.
Any susgestions?
If u must know its a ek 4dr with b20vtec set up
Thanks in advance

happened to me last week. I spent the entire week before that outside with a test light trying to figure out my "electrical" problem. turned out, i had a dead short in my starter, 15 minutes to replace it and works like a charm.
Nice im going to just do that then. Thanks guys

I honestly can't remember if the B series starters are all the same or not. I'm thinking a CRV starter pre 2001 is what you're looking for but I'm pretty sure any B series starter will work.

you could pull the starter and bench test it before you go buy a new one. soesnt always mean its good but it will give you an idea. also check the voltage on your crank wire for the starter to see if your getting full voltage. good luck
fam's right.. you would want to test it before you buy. Just remember, even with full voltage TO the starter, doesn't mean there is no short IN the starter. Pull the starter and bench test it first.
