It is a F22B1 for $150. I posted the link above. Should I buy it, sounds like a deal?

Ask him why its been removed from the car and how many miles it has on it.

See if you can have him compression test it.

For what he's asking its probably a junked engine that needs a rebuild. You could get rebuild kit and rebuild it yourself, its not hard (if you have the tools and the right manual),

Those are standard pistons and rings, you probably want oversize.

Even if the engine has internal damage is not usable its a great price. If the engine still has some good life in it then its a steal of a deal. Be honest with the seller and ask him what he thinks, was the engine in good or bad condition when he removed it? If he's selling it so low he'l probably be honest with you.

You get oversize when you overbore the cylinders. You overbore them because you can return the engine to factory specifications that way. An engine that has a lot of wear in the cylinder walls will need to be bored out and have oversized pistons installed.

If however the engine bores and piston-to-wall clearance is in specification, then all you would need to do is install new rings. Make sure you put the pistons in the same cylinder you took them out of, mark them.

Unless you plan on doing a compression test on that engine, stay away from it.
