Default EG with ZC motor... what would you do?

I like the uniqueness of my ZC [SOHC Non-VTEC] motor in my 95 LX sedan, but I'm not sure what I want to do with it tuning-wise.

What would you do with it? I'm not at all interested in swapping another motor in, so don't go there if that's all you've got.

it's the nearly same motor as an 88-91 civic/crx si aka the D16A6. accept the SOHC zc is known to have a better cam. strong little motors, you could do a vtec head swap, or a small turbo set up, or a nice cam with a larger i/m and tb and a re tune, or some spray

i like the small turbo setup idea. if it is internally similar to the a6, then it is indeed a strong engine. if you go small and reasonable, you can get by with a nice h/g and some head studs.

Maybe we can ask a tech question and not start an opinion poll?

I like all of those ideas. But to clarify, wouldn't swapping the head to a VTEC actually bring the performance DOWN? Honest question, I really don't know.

My buddy has a Y8 IM and suggested I try it out. It's on my list of possibilities although I don't know how much I stand to gain, or that I would even notice.

Me too, my power goals are pretty modest, so no trouble being reasonable. Anywhere between 175-200hp would be a great end-result for this daily driver.

Oh, you Your comments always make me smile. Didn't Justin Timberlake grow up in your neck of the woods? Talented guy, he is.
