Accord pouring out oil??
I have a 1990 Accord with a F22a1 leaking oil. This is what happened. To see if it would start we put a ford explorer battery on it and it started and was really loud. I drove it about 20ft and there was a line in the grass of oil. Parked it and the rest of the oil leaked out. What could it be a seal?
You need to put eyes on the car and see for yourself where the oil is coming from and whether or not the exhaust may have come unbolted.... Not much we can do from here in that respect!
Look for a big hole in the side of the block or at least look for a wet spot. That will get you closer to knowing where it came from. if it's coming from behind the timing cover or between the trans and block, then it could be a seal.
As far as the noise goes. If it sounds like exhaust. It could be that the exhaust donut gasket between the down pipe/flex pipe and the cat may have let go.... How long has this car been sitting, where was it sitting?

The reason I have such limited knowledge is because it is my mother in laws and I have am not an accord guy Im a CRX guy so i was just trying to get some oil leak info and it has been sitting for years 2-8 idk.

Not an Accord guy, you are a CRX guy... so are you saying your not much of a car guy then? An oil leak or exhaust leak...these are both issues that are much easier diagnosed in person... Doesn't matter whether it's a CRX or an NSX!
All Honda motors, well at least mid 90s to mid 2000s were basically all based closely on the same principal. You need to look at the car and look for oil building up on different regions on the motor, now that has nothing to do with being a whatever kinda guy!
really doesn't matter if it's a 4 cylinder Honda or an F1 V10 Honda engine..... Diagnosing a pool of oil under the car and/or an exhaust leak is universal.
well just started working with cars im just trying to help my mother in law out she wanted some out side advice before i could even look at the car. Sorry for the bother you guys are great but i guess if i was so into one subject I would want the people i talked to, to be like me. But anyway thank you for all your help I will be fixing it soon. JUST TRYING TO LEARN!
For a real gusher of an oil leak, I would check the drain plug, then the oil filter area on the back of the engine -- I believe these models had an oil cooler that the filter screws into, and this is a common leak. If those look OK, then I'd be looking for a seal that had popped out. If it's a seal, odds are it's the balancer shaft seal; there's a special retainer to keep it from popping out. Most of the seals are under the timing cover, the exception being the rear main (pray it's not the rear main).
