Recently while just causally checking up on my oil status, I noticed this


I thought to myself.. Wtf?
I checked my oil looked fine, no difference in color.
Dipstick fine, Oil Cap fine, No milkshake like coloring anywhere.

So I ask to the people of Honda-Tech..
What did I just come across here?

 

Has the coolant system ever been flushed? What car and how old?

 

That doesn't look like any reservoir I'm familiar with on these cars.

 

Indeed it does not. Battery placement is wrong too. This is not a 92-00 Civic

 

What wizardry is this?

 

I took a picture of google as I recently broke my phone, but I have the same problem.
98 Civic Coupe.
Coolant system was recently flushed maybe 1k ago.

 

Head lift. If your oil is fine but your coolant looks kinda oily. Then it's head lift or blow headgasket.

 

Horry shiet.... i cant say that reservoir looks like ones ive seen

 

I mention'd above I took a picture off google I have the same thing tho.

 

Could you mind explaining? I looked it up everything I saw was just about boost'd D-Series mines stock.

 

Then you have a blown headgasket. That or someone mistook the reservoir for the oil fill location. I've seen that happen.

In the future don't use a random image off Google. Wait until you get the opportunity to take a picture of your own issue. See how the thread derailed?

 

Your oil is leaking into your coolant. Thats what xile is saying.

 

I don't see anything in my oil tho :/ It looks fine is there any other way I can check for blown head gasket? I don't have alot of money right now to my disposal.

 

Doesn't have to be anything in your oil for a blown headgasket. Do a compression test. Rent a tester from the auto parts store.

 

How much do they cost?

 

Call a local place and find out.
