Default FS: '98 Integra LS, NEW PRICE $3,900, 98k miles, 2-owner, DD/auto-x, runs perfect

NEW PRICE: $3,250
It is with tearful sadness and inner conflict that I am posting my '98 Integra LS for sale after 13 years of ownership.

Cliffs: Only 98k, have owned since 2000, mechanically excellent, needs nothing except tires soon and a new finish on the c/f hood, a couple rough spots on the exterior but generally looks very good and drives even better thanks to great mods.
Full mod list here:
http://www.freewebs.com/white98ls/modifications.htm
ITR lip and lightweight battery no longer on the car. Pics show stock intake arm w/K&N, but will ship the AEM CAI w/filter to the buyer after sale. Also no longer corner-weighted (raised the coilovers for Michigan) and running on 215/45/16 Blizzaks.

Good:
Under 100k miles! Just about to hit 98k.
Runs perfectly! No smoke, no grinds, minimal oil consumption, etc.
2 owners - I have owned since April 2000 (21k miles at time of purchase)
Oil changed with Mobil1 full synthetic 5W-30 every 4-5k miles since 30k
Clean title, no accidents, paint (still quite good) is all original except for front bumper
No rust (only endured 2 Michigan winters, underbody wash always after snows, otherwise lived in Washington State)
Timing belt/H2O pump changed @ 75k
Great mods incl. Crower cams (152whp, 129wtq @ 4200rpm), quality i/h/c/e, GC/Konis, swaybars, ITR LSD, 4.4 FD, 11.1" rotors and Prelude VTEC calipers, etc. Check full mod list linked above.
Never smoked in
Everything works great, needs nothing

Bad:
No P/S, A/C, or cruise control (the manual rack w/loop & breather is great actually)
Dent in rear quarter panel (pic shown)
Hood (see below)
CEL on because of cams (misfire at low rpm, just verified last week that there are no new codes)
Usual dings and bumper rash from being a DD, but nothing out of the ordinary

My philosophy for this car was "Type R give-or-take" performance in achieving a great balance between competitive autocross car and livable daily driver. As such, I have won 21 local autocrosses in the highly competitive Street Mod-level classes, often placing in the top 10% of the field overall and with 4 "Fastest Time of the Day"s amongst all car classes. I have been able to beat very nearly every single Porsche and Z06 that has shown up - it grips hard and handles fantastically. The car has never been tracked.

At the same time, it retains stock safety equipment, seats, stereo… you can't tell the interior apart from any other stock interior. The ride is firm, but totally tolerable with 380/350lb/in F/R spring rates and adjustable ride height with the GC/Konis.

As for being similar to Type R performance, with about 10-15whp less but less weight (2450lbs as it sits, 2370lbs spare and rear seats removed) and quite a bit more low-end torque (129wtq at 4200rpm, nearly the same as an H22) this car is about as fast as a Type R but with a more usable powerband for the street and daily driving.

It has the same LSD, final drive, and front brakes as the ITR (Prelude VTEC brakes are the same as Type R, but 4x114.3, in this case with rotors redrilled to 4x100).

Cornering-wise, it's hard to fault a stock Type R, but this car is set up somewhat more aggressively and shoots for the same neutral balance, with even less weight over the front end.

This car has been faultlessly reliable in my 13 years with it, and I love it to death. I am only selling it because I am a huge car enthusiast, and after 13 years it's siimply time to move on (likely to an S2000). I will surely regret it though!

Whoever gets this car is getting a hell of a deal. Any car this reliable, worry-free, AND fun to drive is well worth more than what I'm asking for.
You'll have to put up with no A/C and P/S (frankly not bad IMO, the steering feels wonderful once over walking speed, definitely no regrets), there are a few minor cosmetic flaws, but overall no major dents, panel gaps, or mismatched paint - still easily better than average for its age, and passes the "10-foot rule."

The c/f hood is very oxidized and looks pretty bad as you can see. I would have done something about it, but I decided to let the next owner decide whether to paint it, wrap it (you could c/f wrap it without feeling like a ricer), or get a different hood. In terms of fit and structure it is good, just the finish itself is bad.

Located in Ann Arbor, MI. NEW PRICE: $3,900, firm. PM or e-mail thefjord@yahoo.com. Lowball offers will be ignored, ain't nobody got time for that. Although I would like to sell, lowballing wastes time for both of us, and if I can't get close to asking I'll just keep it. Thanks.

Rough spots:
Pass. rear fender dent, previous owner must have attempted to fix this poorly. Surface rust spots only.

Scrapes, lower one is from old ITR lip (which was stolen )

Aforementioned hood finish. Note that hood fits well, the weave is very good, and it's structurally sound, weighs 12lbs. Your choice of whether to refinish, paint, or replace.

Obligatory sign:

Interior pics up next.

Thanks man! I hate incomplete FS threads. People are selling things worth thousands of dollars and they can't even put together more than 3 lines with key details, punctuation and pics? If the ad is that lazy, wonder what the car is like...

Bought this car on this day (yes, April Fool's Day) 13 years ago. Bump for a well-cared-for, well-sorted car.

Lowered price on CL to $4,900, so that means the new H-T member price is $4,500. I don't anticipate dropping it any lower.

Alright, hate to do this, but would like to sell here in MI before I move back to Seattle. New price is $3,900. Screamin' deal. Great platform for a DD, auto-x, or if you want to boost it and have suspension, brakes, clutch, LSD, etc. already in place.

Can you get a loan? PenFed has been good in getting me low rates on older cars.
