Default 2005 civic new clutch

i'm at the point where i need a new clutch, ~130K miles.

while i'm in there, is it recommended to change the flywheel too? is it needed?

the car is just a regular commuter. will i gain anything from it?

also, what is out there that guys swap with?

thank you

Pending the state of your flywheel it may or may not need replacement. Most likely, it'll be fine (or at most require minor resurfacing).

Matt is right. you probably wont need a NEW one persay, but you will need to resurface it. dont forget that the break-in period for a new clutch/flywheel is 500-1000 miles of being EASY on it. try not to rev past 3,500rpm.

You dont "need" a new flywheel, but why not upgrade to a lighter one if your in there already? You would notice your car being a little more peppy, less weight on the crank every revolution.
