91 civic si eats alternators

Default 91 civic si eats alternators

heres the story, kinda long, spans 9 yrs.
bought a nice si. had to repl multi func sw. bought used(had no cash aft buying car). rear wiper intermittant. alt failed 2 yrs later. worked stupid hours 4 2 yrs, alt failed again. also during this time lights very bright all the time had to repl batt normal age replacement. where can i look for tblshooting help?

In all seriousness, it looks like the technical question is what he should check to figure out why his alternators keep going out after a few years. OP, have you used quality replacements? At this rate, if you have not done so already, I would skip buying a reman from a parts store and just order a brand new one.

no remans, only new, I just wanted to know if the m/f switch was poss bad, ckd rear wiper motor, just needed a starting point. in 35 yrs on a single car NEVER had as much tbl as this. My wife and I love our Hondas 91 civic si and 91 crx si

Check all the grounds for corrosion and loose/missing connections. I would even run an extra ground. Then check the harness and try another alternator.
