Default LCR's?

Just bought a 97 del sol S as a project car. Car is in great shape motor wise. 133k miles. 1500 bucks. However it needs some suspension and body work. Thanks for all the posts and after some research I"m going to go with the koni srt's. I don't plan on racing. Just something better than stock that'll hold up at autocross on occasion and will last.

However i don't know much about LCA's. Any pointers? i've been looking and don't see much about them. My LCAs and bushings are shot on the front end. And i figured since i'm down there i might as well replace them on both sides. So... any brands to look out for or should i stay with stock? I could probably get some from the local junk yard.

Edit. I meant LCA's. How the R got there i'll never know. Must have had an artarded moment.

OK you know hes talking about LCA's. Function 7 are usually reguarded as being one of the best, but replacing the bushings in your stock suspension is a very good option and will outlast most aftermarket stuff, Ive been doing alot of research on this myself, and ive opted to just replace everything with a hard rubber bushing kit.

oops... Typo. I'm dumb i didn't see the R... lol... Yes i'm talking about LCA's.

I would just change the bushings but my ball joint isn't doing well. I've read that it's easier to replace the whole thing and not just the ball joint. I'll do a bit more research on that.

But i'll take a lot at Function 7's too. I've been dealing with bikes for quite a while and this is my first car project.

function7 doesn't make front LCAs. Front LCAs don't have ball joints in them.

I didn't know that. Any other take on front LCA's then? i'm going to go ahead and attempt to replace the suspension on all 4 sides just because of where i'm at.

if you can't afford oem, go with moog. some say it's just as good as oem, some say it's better.

I've heard a lot of good things about moog, and i'm new to cars. I've never done suspension work on a car before. All my past experience is with bikes so here i go. Appreciate all the info guys.

Will the suspension and oil pan from a 99 civic fit my 97 del sol? I can't seem to find that part out.

Jeez. Go to Ebay. Find the item you want to purchase. Check the vehicle compatibility in the auction listing. If the listing doesn't have a vehicle compatibility chart find another listing that does. This works with most online retailers.

And the oil pans are engine specific not chassis specific and also has NOTHING to do with the suspension NOR this particular forum.
