havent been to this website in months....i just recently got a swap done to my 98 civic LX ...it has a/c and p/s ...car runs beautiful its obd 1. jdm b20b gsr tranny pulls really good for a 4 door.

the man who did my swap didnt hook up a ecu reader to really tell what it could be , he just raised the idle a bit but it didnt help , my idle right now is a 1000 like i said runs really good it was Time'd with a gun, no misfire . just maybe theirs someone whos experienced this problem and shoot me in the right direction .. thanks

 

could be the a/c compressor is locked up

 

is your check engine light on?

 

No o2 sensor..No cat @ newyork. Yes

 

Check the ac pressure while its idling.
It could be the compressor going bad.
Mines went bad and locked up while driving.

But then again what ecu are you using to run the motor?

 

p75 obd1 ecu correct ecu for swap , its a legit swap, i think it maybe the compressor then. my mechanic will just have to replace it lol. thank god for receipts...its a crv compressor

 

Definitely a compressor issue. I would just take out the whole system if I were you... much easier to maintain something that doesn't even exist, in my well-qualified opinion.

 

i wont get rid of it, im proud to say i have p/s and a/c in my ek, im not going to "gut" my car or remove nothing i want it the way it is its my daily driver.....im going to try new compressor and if it dont work will go from there
