Your not going to be able to run your accord with the auto tranny. Obd2 cars have the transmission controls in the ecu, and the OBD1 ecu's cannot control those. Your only option is converting to stick.

What conversion harness are you using? Is it a purpose built OBD2 Accord to OBD1 Prelude ECU conversion harness?

If you want to run OBD2, the 1996 is the only year that the OBD2 Prelude VTEC ECU did not have the immobilizer chip installed.

thats what im saying,im converting to stick but the obd1 h22 ecu wont work on my car.the h22 and its 5 speed tranny are in the car and will run off f22 ecu but not h22 obd1 or 2 ecu. i know the 97 and up prelude ecus have immobilizers so i tried a 96 and still nothing. the auto has 4 plug ecu and manual has 3 so my guess is some of the pins need to be switched over to one of the other plugs. i hathats what im saying,im converting to stick but the obd1 h22 ecu wont work on my car.the h22 and its 5 speed tranny are in the car and will run off f22 ecu but not h22 obd1 or 2 ecu. i know the 97 and up prelude ecus have immobilizers so i tried a 96 and still nothing. the auto has 4 plug ecu and manual has 3 so my guess is some of the pins need to be switched over to one of the other plugs. and i pulled the swap out of a 4th gen,but its a 5th gen motor(obviously swapped) and im using the same ecu (obd1) that was in the prelude and it ran fine.

no the harness is not custom. its just a obd1 to 2 harness. but if you read my reply above this one,im using the obd1 ecu that was in the prelude swap. but like i say we are leaving out the fourth plug b/c there is not spot for it on a 5 speed. the forth plug is there just to run auto tranny.
