Motec M800 and stock distributor, need input
Ive got my gsr running on the stock distributor and idles like stock. My problem is that it struggles to rev and the rpm (on the motec software) bounces around after 1800-2000 rpm. It seems like its loosing sync. I have it set up per motecs drawing (s10) and set the "setup" settings as per the drawing. I have no error codes at idle and after 2k rpm it throws a sync code, but still runs, just very rough. Let off the gas and it idles down and is fine and error goes away.
I had a similar problem(but at a much higher rpm) with a M4 setup and eventually switched to a T1 gear and it fixed it. I would like to use the stock distributor if at all possible.
I can email my tune file if needed.

The problem with the stock distributor is that the signals to an aftermarket ECU are never good. You can get it working, but nothing perfect or even close to it. Hall effect sensor would be a great idea for it.
Other problem with OEM distributors (hope yours is OEM) is that they wear. You can get a high mileage distributor and it will give you all kinds of problems.

Its a 130k mile 99 integra, i assume its original, i havent changed it-
Its what i did'nt want to hear, but i agree. I figured the 800 would be better at it than the m4 and allow me to use a stock one. On the hunt for a t1 setup now..

There is a filter for MAG sensors that you must play with to filter out "noise" to the ECU.
Lots of times it's not the dizzy itself but the 20 year old wiring (or an improper TUCK job) that it introducing noise into the signal
