Default 89 crx wont start out of nowhere!!!!

So this thing started two weeks ago where nothing would happen when I turned the key all the way, the feul pump would prime, and the brake light on the cluster would come on like normal it just wouldn't crank, I would wiggle the #2 fuse, try again and no problems. I went for a drive yesterday, had to do the steps listed above. When I went back to my car the same thing happened again except the brake light on the cluster didn't light up and I couldn't get it to crank no matter what.

WHAT IS THE PREOBLEM? I've tried searching this problem but no luck! Any replies appreciated!!!

Need some more info.

What is the #2 fuse you have been wiggling?
Does the engine turn over (spin) or does it sit absolutely still? Please answer this question for the way it has been doing AND what it is doing now.

Make sure the starter is getting power. It's only a few things it could be.

Fuse #2 is starter signal. Before it wouldn't turn over, then I would wiggle the fuse and it would start. Now it won't crank at all.

Since wiggling the fuse used to work, my guess is that you have a problem with the fuse box.
To verify, you can trace to the input and output wires of the fuse and jump them together.
I think (not 100% sure) the color for both wires are Blue/White stripe.

This is a more effective way of troubleshooting the connections of fuse #2 in the fusebox. I'd also suggest using a jumper wire to connect the metal prongs (with the fuse removed). This will tell you if your fuse is actually bad OR if the fuse just isn't getting a good connection to the metal prongs. If the fuse prongs are actually loose, the jumper wire is more likely to make the connection than the spade tips of the fuse.

I tried jumping the connection with a wire, still didn't work. Also made sure connections on the starter were good

If you jumped power right to the starter and it didn't work then it's time for a new starter.

Can also be the ignition switch. I've seen a number of those go wrong with erosion of the contacts on the end

Do you have to replace it, or is there a way to just clean the corrosion?
