88 ef possible ground problem?
to start, i have an 88 ef hatchback. my right headlight is dim, the right turn signal hyperblinks and if my heat is on and i turn on my lights my heat seems to hardly blow any heat. And occasionally ill have a sluggish rise in 2nd where if i try to gun it since it isnt wanting to go it wont but if i slightly press on it it will seem to speed up faster. im not much of an wire expert and bought it with this problem already occuring. any help or insight is much appreciated. Thanks, Nate. any more info needed i will be glad to do my best and answer
I can help you with one of your issues, A blinker that is blinking faster is just the way of indicating that you have a bulb out. Check all of your bulbs, you likely have one or more burned out.
As for your other problems you have some sort of electrical gremlins. Its possible for burned out and or fouled bulbs/sockets to do odd things to an electrical system (but its unlikely to be the cause). Potential causes could be a bad ground, a bad ELD,a bad switch ect. Anyway it will be near impossible to diagnose over the internet without you doing some probing and testing.
I would recommend investing in a digital multimeter so you can start testing everything out, along with getting a online Helm manual or buying one.
