Default 1998 accord V6 timing belt job

Going to change the timing belt on an accord I just bought. It has 130,000 miles and I'm not sure if it has ever been done. I have a couple questions:

1.Is there a write up out there anywhere? I have looked and looked and cant find one.

2.What all should I replace? I planned on the timing belt and water pump, anything else I should replace while I'm doing this?

3.Besides calling the dealership, where can I order these OEM parts to do this? I have checked a few websites that sell OEM Honda parts, www.hondaautomotiveparts.com, being one of them and all of them do not have the option for timing belt or for water pump.

Thanks in advance for any help I appreciate it.

you can get genuine parts from sites like hondapartsunlimited.com and hondapartsdeals.com. I'm a little surprised you couldn't get the belt or waterpump. but i would recommend looking at places like Rockauto.com and picking the OE quality replacement. you can get essentially the same part, probably even made in the same factory as the genuine Honda parts for less than half the price in some instances.

I always like to replace the termostat at the same time as a water pump. good time to do cam seals and crankshaft seal. accessory drive belt(s). also i'm pretty sure a new auto tensioner is required on the V6. by design they can't be compressed for reuse. there is a trick for reseting them if you're in a bind, but it's easy to screw up and it's a lot of effort.

If I left anything out, hopefully someone else will catch it.

When I replace V6 timing belts I order the following:

Timing belt (Gates makes the belts for Honda vehicles)Part # TCK286 3 Components (1 Belt, 1 Tensioner, 1 Idler) 55.79 from Rockauto or Amazon.

Water pump: Aisin water from ebay 59.95

Your choice of seals and belts. I either use Honda or Fel-pro brand seals and Gates accessory belts from Amazon.

Good luck! Its various Youtube video's on how to go about changing the belt and extras.
Acurazine has a "DIY timing belt instructions on their site. Same engine pretty much.

@djkurious: Any reason you prefer the Aisin water from ebay over others such as the bosch on amazon for 50?
