Alarm malfuction?? (door lock/unlock while driving)
I noticed this past week that the doors in my 04 TSX are locking and unlocking while driving by itself.
Not sure if it is because of the alarm system (DEI Automate) or something else. Only thing I done recently was change the starter, which required removing the intake manifold but that shouldn't have done anything.
Anything know what I should look for if I look at the alarm system? I purchased the car used and the alarm was on it already.

Sounds like maybe the alarms door lock/unlock outputs are "pinched" and intermittently shorting to ground, to test, disconnect the alarms door lock/unlock leads from the alarm brain, if the problem is gone the alarm is the problem.
If the problem is still there, disconnect the alarm lock and unlock from the cars wiring, most likely connected at the MIC module, at fuse box in drivers kick panel, 30 pin plug on side of fuse box, [facing rear of car], disconnect the alarms blue and green lock and unlock leads and see if you still have the problem, if not, the alarms lock/unlock wire harness is the problem, [pinched] if the problem is still there, the alarm and it's wiring is not the problem.
If you have eliminated the alarm and it's wiring as the problem, it only leaves the Door Lock Control Unit or it's wiring as the problem. 94

I am probably not going to know what to look for ... I took of the panel under the steering column and can see the alarm brain and a bunch of wiring. When you say "leads", do you mean the wire (color)?
Can I just disconnect the alarm brain and use my factory keyless entry system? The previous owner told me the factory keyelss entry system still works with the car.

Yes you can disconnect the alarm and use the OEM remote, however it will only tell to if the Automate is or is not the problem, if problem persists, you will still need to disconnect the alarms door lock/unlock leads, [most likely a blue and green leads on a 2 or 3 pin plug on alarm] from the cars wiring to eliminate them as the problem, [pinched].
What is the model number of the Automate alarm.94

It's a DEI Automate AM 9, Engine starter part of alarm not installed.
I kind of forgot about this the past week because I have another new problem on the car that has creep up a few days ago that is driving me insane. I am now trying to figure out what is the loud engine noise coming from the left side of the engine .....
