Icon6 tryimg to install a rmanufactured ps pump, and the plastic fitting for hose....

i am trying to install a new ps pump in oreder to save about 300$ per honda dealership estimates. everything was going well, untill after installing pump, when i tried to attatch the plastic fitting that attatches to the top right of pump allowing the hose to clamp to it, the hole on pump is about 1 or 2 mm's too small for the existing fitting.... there is NO auto parts store around who has this part, and even if, (as told by a honda mechanic) a replacement will be the same size... is there anything i can do, short of sawing and filing off the large end of the fitting? i haven't attempted this for obvious reason's, but i have no car now, and becoming hopeless, please help!!!!

You can either find a reducer that works, or your pump is not the correct one for your car year.

I would return that pump, and get the right one. You don't want the hose to leak.
