Possible Brake Problem?
Hi all,
I have a Honda Civic 2005 Type-S which has developed a braking issue.
When driving a rattling sound can be heard from the rear right brake (like a set of dangling keys) and when reversing the brake seems to be slightly stuck as it makes a groaning sound (as if the brake isn't free). When pressing the brake pedal all noises above stop!? Brake performance seems normal, but I don't want to be driving the car and doing further damage
I'm planning on taking the alloys off to have a closer look, but am awaiting my locking wheelnut key to arrive (this friday).
Any ideas what is wrong?

I'd definitely start by examining the pads themselves. Make sure nothing is loose or heavily warn. You may wonder wouldn't you feel that yes, but at the same time 80% of braking is done in the front hence the front have bigger better brakes. But I can't tell you more until you take the wheels off.
Also did you mean you have a 2005 Civic SI? LOL Type-S is the type of Acura RSX
