Icon2 need help getting vtec to run off ecu in racecar

I have a 92-93 ls integra racecar. Still has b18a1 cable clutch 5speed trans. Has b16 vtec from 99 si. Right know i have no speedo hookd up, have aftermarket tach hooked up running vtec from a switch. Wondering if possible to run vtec off ecu with no speedo. To hard on the circle track to flip switch everytime

Depends on what ECU you are running.

Socketed obd1 ecu w/ speedo disabled. acquire chip from xenocron for pennies, request speedometer to be disabled.

How do you disable the speedometer from the ECU? Nether the speedometer nor the tachometer run through the ECU...

Maybe they disabled the vehicle speed sensor.....

Anywho, back to your question..... You should be able to run your VTEC from the ECU even with the speedometer unhooked. As long as your ECU has been chipped for VTEC and you have the proper wiring added. It should be easy to run VTEC from your ECU....along with a proper tune!

Is your check engine light on?

LOL at VTEC from a switch...... What did you use to control fuel and timing adjustments while VTEC was engaged?
