Default Stance ED6 ''Road To'' Project

Hi guys I decided to start a thread about my little project. Im currently restoring a 1991 civic hb dx. So heres my road to a stance genuine civic! I got this little civic for 1000$ with a d15b2 stock inside. Since theres winter here and its a 1991 this car is hella clean. I live in canada quebec. So Im a french canadian. Ill do my best to make my english understandable :D. Lets start!

Here you can see how solid it is:

Driver side:

Passenger side:

Rear driver:

Rear passenger:

Under rear seat:

Hatch:

Dx seats... completely destroyed :

I have no photo of it when I bought it so heres a pic of it with the slipstreams this autumn:

Before the slipstreams I was only planning to use some good looking wheels so I got the ep3 oem wheels for a little 100 bucks. They were in perfect shape

The day after I bought those wheels, I found a little DOHC ZC for a little 200 bucks so I went to buy it but I saw those slipstreams dirt covered so I asked him how much for those. He answered: 100 bucks would make it. Of course I had not 300 bucks on myself so I told him let me sell my ep3 wheels I bought yesterday and Ill take them for sure. One day later I sold the ep3 wheels for 100 bucks and called him again. He told me that he was kidding about the 100 bucks... so I lawled and said okay how much you want for them? he said 150 so I said 140 hahaha deal!

so here are the slipstreams when I bought them with of course a brand new set of tire:

they were so clean but 2 were black and 2 were white.. so I needed to paint them. I went to my dealer and asked for a custom paint so heres after the paint:

Now installed! :D

The car paint isnt its oem color Im planning to get its oem color when the money will come haha

Oh! I was forgetting about the dohc ZC swap haha I had to modify so much things in my harness to make it running. DX civics were coming with D15b2 DPFI intake so I had to take it MPFI and I had to add that little cps to the ecu connectors. THX THEZCR.COM FOR IT OMG haha

Heres some photos of the swap:
Here you can see the damned cps

The bay is so dirty but I had not enough time to clean it Itll come later

The powerfull d15b2

There it is! with wire everywhere:

Somethings were missing from the swap and I didnt know it was that rare to find... :S ZC midshaft, axles and the little injectors resistor box -_-. I finally found the ZC midshaft for 150 bucks shipped out a jdm shop 500km away from my house and used brand new integra 90 axles for another 150 bucks theyre so expansive.
There is the midshaft:

Okay time to sleep! Alot more interesting stuff to come And starting my FAT stance project haha you wont believe what Im doing atm.

Here starts the most interesting part :D. I got tired of my low offset slipstreams so I decided to make widened steelies by myself.

When I got the steelies 15x6 at rear and 15x5.5 at front:

Some day later :D

Meanwhile..... 60$ for those mint SI seats :O

Too bad I have the blue interior but now my seats arent destroyed :D

Yay the lips are ready! 3 inch at rear and 2.5 inch at front so Ill be 9 inch at rear and 8 inch at front gona be wide with crazy offset

Now welded hehe

Looking good and straight :D now finition left to make and paint! White

Owww shet

Suspension? YEAAAA Its comin

Rebarrel is looking good!
Not sure why you did that to steelies, but !?!??!
I didn't come here to hate on the steelies though...

The hate goes to your setup in general.
That wheel offset outside the body of the car was cool in maybe 1985.
Say hello to your new 4X4 lifted Civic -or- say goodbye to your tires and fenders.

I will seriously be impressed if you can roll out what appears to be 3 inches.
Tire stretching is sketchy - you sure you want to do that?

thats pretty sweet. and its called fender rolling, tire stretching, and camber, and it will look good how'd you take the original lips on the steelies off so that you were able to add the extra metal? and what type of metal did you use to add offset?

You are gonna do 6K front and 12K rear? Yikes... you might want to flip-flop that. If you are going low you will need 12k in the front to prevent bottoming out and the 6k in the rear for comfort.

Interested to see how those new steelies balance....

Hey? What tool(s) did you use to cut the steelies?
The pics make it look like a really nice cut all the way around that appears to be flat.
I'm not sure I could do that with a grinder.

From my understanding, you can get all the parts that you need from a EG.
