Intro/ Full resto-mod beginning
What up Honda-tech. Just wanted to introduce myself. About a couple days ago I bought a 1990 Honda Civic DX for a measly $400. For $400 bucks you can't go wrong, at least I think so.
Anyway here are some specs on the car:
Now, my plans are to fix the body from any rust (yes, unfortunately I do have some rust), full body respray, upgrade all the drivetrain components and suspension components, and create a straight sleeper. Keep in mind I am 20 and don't have the amount of money that some of you do or the amount of credit cards that you do, so don't expect it all to happen within a couple months.
I do have some questions, if some of you can help
Now onto some pictures!
Here's the ground bolt I mentioned above.

Rusty Wheels and rust on the drive side door edge

Close up of the door edge rust

Dent on the roof

Rust hole on top right hand side of windshield

And this is the connector I was talking about (to the headlight switch. I removed this one from a junkyard car)

Let me know what you guys think!

- There seems to be an issue with Headlights and tailights. When I got the car, the previous said there was a wiring issue because when you turned on the lights, only the highbeams would work but the taillights worked fine. I took the steering column trim apart and there was some cables cut on the headlight switch connector. I tried to solder them back but now none of the headlights, tailights or dashlights work. I'm thinking a switch, but the turn signals still work. Is there any way to check?
- Previous owner installed some newer Civic seats but only 3 bolts line up. I think this is really ghetto and unsafe. Anyone know where I can score some Stock EF brown vinyl seats?
- Previous owner also broke of the ground nut on the valve cover. Anyone know how to replace it?

. But, check out the site car-part.com , this will search the inventories of most junkyards and maybe you'll have some luck finding the seats on there.
As for the broken bolt, you can remove the valve cover and try to drill it out, or if you have a dremel or other cutting tool you can try to cut a slit at the top of the bolt and use a flat head screwdriver to work it out. Good luck.
