Check the vin number. Even if it is real, which I doubt, it isn't worth that much given how much it's been messed with.

Why would u doubt it's real when the original poster stated it's: a orgiginal type r "not a clone" ??????

worth about 6-8K depending on the buyer.

i agree that it appears to be a real type r, especially if the ad says so. Salvage title and all that stuff in there, the asking price is about right for what it is.

Looks real to me. 97R with 98+ front and rear bumper. Usdm 97Rs to my knowledge, are the only R's in the world to not have the rear wiper and spray.

Steering wheel isn't wrapped. Of course it's possible the wrap was removed.

Missing Passenger Airbag, The steering wheel missing leather wrap, red mats, rear bumper looks mauled as well as not mounted well, look at the gaps. Front end missing lip. The stickers and emblems I get but it looks well abused.

Surprised no shots of the engine bay which could reveal some other nifty stuff.

Funny how he claims the exterior is all stock yet it has 98-01 front and rear bumpers.

For any serious party, I can check out this car. Despite what some have posted, the pictures don't offer any conclusive evidence. I would advice any prospective buyers to do their homework.
