I had this Honda 03 Accord EX V6 since it first came out in Jan. 03. I think it was a mistake to buy the first model year of the new car. It has at least 5 different recalls on AT, seat belt, fuel cap, PS hose, etc. The biggest problem is the center dash console. Honda never acknowledged the problem but did extend the warranty to 7 years and 100K for the faulty circuit board that sit inside the 6 disc CD changer. When this piece of crap circuit failed, the entire radio display and center console is dark without back light. However, mine failed right after the 7 years even if the car had barely 45K. I had it fixed at the dealer a couple years ago. This month, the center console (HVAC and radio control) backlite is out again but the radio back light it still working. I am thinking it is the same circuit board that failed again since the backlite is LED, it lasts nearly forever. Does anyone know or have the same problem? I hate to pull the whole thing aparts just to find out that it is something else.
