Maintenance is important
I thought I'd share what I found inside of a used intake manifold I purchased recently. Whether it be some SERIOUSLY bad valve seals, a filthy air filter, or a combination of the two, this thing had a lot of carbon buildup and sludge present. I sprayed some Purple Power degreaser and let it sit for a bit and pressure washed it at a spot near my house. Turned out great!! Next time you run into some cash to modify your car, think about the attached photo and consider the basics first.

I found the same thing when I took the throttle body off a manifold looked like its never ever been removed I didn't bother to clean the manifold since I only needed the throttle body
I have what they call automotive ocd. Symptoms include rebuilding/reconditioning every nut and bolt on a car because of a blown head gasket. Lmao
