got pretty much everything removed that I think i need to remove. Big question is, do I need to remove the entire subframe under the engine and trans in order to drop the transmission? see pic. the frame with the two holes in it at the bottom of the pic.

Does anyone know? The DIY thread I have been following is for a 97 so It's a previous generation I guess

 

I don't see why you would have to, maybe the main crossmember. But I'm no expert at 6th gen chassis.

 

It's all one piece that goes across the front of the car and down both the pass and drivers sides. just looks like it's gonna be in the way when I drop the trans. Guess I'll find out pretty soon. Thanks.
