1990 Accord LX wiring help... Please?
I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX with sport shift. My problem isn't a solenoid, before you think this is another "S light won't go off" thread. It's that the entire shift console was taken apart, along with the dashboard and wiring harness. I have everything back together, except I CAN NOT find any place for the sport shift wire, the one coming from the **** itself that activates or deactivates the sport shift function, to plug in to. It's got a relatively long cord, so I figure it must be under the dash somewhere, but I can't find it at all. It's the original wiring harness, so there's no reason that the sport shift plug in should be missing. Does ANYBODY know where the wire plugs in? Or have a wiring diagram for a 1990 Honda Accord LX?
Even a picture of somebody elses sport shift activation thing plugged in would be helpful. I mean, I've been searching inside the car for a place to plug the shift **** for hours.
sorry can't help you much. i have a wiring diagram as a trial user i can't upload pictures. it goes to the main wire harness so my diagram says. shares ground with g402 near g401
it goes to the tcu. what color is the wire. i have a 1990 honda accord ex a/t i don't think it should of changed. ill take a look at it tomm. i have to put my intake manifold back on anyways
The wire is a 2 pin. One wire is cyan, the other is black. I'm about to go try to find the plug again. As far as the wire diagram goes, if you could upload that to a picture sharing website and give me the link, that'd be the greatest thing ever. Also, thanks for the help you've given so far.

I don't mean to necro bump this thread from a year ago, but people like to know when things are solved. The wires I had found DID in fact go to the sport shift button.
The problem I was actually having, though I didn't know it at the time, was that I had 2 resistors burnt out in my TCU that was keeping it locked in sport shift mode, and also limp mode. I unsoldered the old resistors and attached 2 new ones, fixed my problem entirely.
