Default 94 ex Z6 possible headgasket??

Hello HT . So here is my problem . 1st thing to happen with this was I had a top tank leak from my radiator . I replaced it and all was good for about a month. Then out of no where my water pump started leaking . So replaced water pump and timing belt. & all was good for about another month. Now what is happening is my car is pushing coolant to my reservoir and filling up to the cap. Letting it sit all night and it doesn't draw back into the radiator . Tried 2 oem rad caps from honda. Bought a new reservoir tank and all hoses for it. Also It has only started to run hot when I drive like 30-60 miles at a time . And only when at idle. I turn on my heater and it will go back down to normal. It's driving me nuts! If any one could help me with this I would appreciate it. Sorry for the long story.. If u didn't understand any part. Just ask me.

In your case, quick test w/cold eng. Pull rad cap off, top off radiator, let car idle. Bleed any air out of head with cap still off. Now watch filler neck for air bubbling(it'll be obvious few bubbles surging in at a time). If its surging bubbles on idle and head has been bled of air then yes, hg.

I bleed it everyday . No bubbles on cold starts with cap off. But when the engine gets at operating temp. (2 fan cycles) Small bubbles and foam appear and never go away till car is shut off. And I'm also just running straight water . No coolant..

Is there any oil in the coolant? Have you performed a compression test?

No oil in coolant , no coolant in oil. No white smoke out tail pipe. Dosnt even run hot until I drive for a long time which I barely ever do. Small town so everything is right here buy me. It must be a very small leaking head gasket..

And also can't do compression test cause who ever I bought tha car from cross threaded one of the spark plugs so I'm to scared to remove it all the way. So when I take the head off ill extract it and insert a heli coil .

Pretty important to check the head and block for warpage.

I think it's .002 minimum allowable . Someone said you can get a straight edge at Harbor Freight for $4.

I was going to say if the top radiator hose felt hard and pressurized when the car was idling that would be another sign of a blown headgasket.

Good luck
Hope there are no other hairline cracks in the head or block.

Yea both, top and bottom rad hoses kinda hard and "buldging". It's wierd tho never even got close to redling temp gauge. Thanks everyone for the replies!!

Replace thermostat/gasket and flush radiator/block a couple times. You'll be suprised the gunk that comes out. Ex gasket too along with any questionable hoses. While you have head off its a great time to replace the o rings on each end of rear coolant pipe coming out of backside of waterpump
