Performance.. Try the search bar. Be clear in what you are "searching" for. Most people, like yourself, are very vague when asking about performance. Its more about what kind of performance are you looking for.
To end? Bottom end? Speed? Agility around corners?
The most basic place most start without making major mods or involving to much mechanical modifications is with a cold air intake (I'm against unless you live where there is no dirt) and a cat back exhaust system.
When you first purchase a used vehicle, another way to improve it is to do a fill tune up. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil and oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve (usually never replaced or touched) and transaxle fluid.
Start with a basic full tune up and decide what kind of "performance" you are looking to upgrade.

1999 V6 automatic is not a good candidate for performance upgrades. The transmission is the weak link. Save your money. You could go the bigger wheels/tires route, lower the suspension, ad nauseum. In the end you have a 14 year old car. But it's your money. On my 01, I have added Megan headers, Magnaflow cat back, K&N filter and pulled off the air cleaner ducting under the fender in pursuit of fuel economy. My last fill up I averaged 24.63 mpg. I don't beat on the car. It's a nice, comfortable driver.

Absolutely not on the intake idea, you will loose power by installing one. Not to mention your car will sound like a hoover from the 50's, unless that's your thing. Yes the transmission is the weak link, but that shouldn't stop you from modifying and learning about your motor and how to make the most power out of it. Here is a V6 that a guy was building up for a LX Wagon https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/1995-honda-accord-lx-station-wagon-project-3108707/. Maybe you can use that as some inspiration, especially with people being so "Don't do this, don't do that" half of the Accord show car owners were probably told the same thing over and over again but as proven it didn't stop them. To each his own, my favorite set of words in the auto community.
Ok i want the car to be faster im brand new to working on cars so i dont know basically anytging im not looking to make this into a racing car i.just want to ve able to drive faster
