Which oil pump?
Basically I got a b18b short block which was rebuild for ls-v but the original owner left it in his shed with no spark plugs and the cylinders rusted
There is no way for me to contact the original owner so I am trying to figure out what kind of oil pump this is.

The oil pump has never been used before. The previous owner assembled the motor but never ran it. What do you mean "pull it apart and check for a spacer between the relief spring."?

Ok I gotta know why you say not te reuse an oil pump? I would not reuse the one that this guy has in the picture because he doesnt really the real history of the pictured pump.
But as far as re-using a pump that I know the history of is not out of the question. I have been using the same pump that I bought from honda 6 years ago and has been in 5 different motors. None of which ever blew up and I have never spun a bearing so the pump is in great shape. I always disassemble my pumps and inspect them for any cracks or scaring. I have had more than adequate oil pressure all the time.

Somebody has been telling you stories. Take what ever BS the seller told you and throw it out the window. As someone else said, get a new pump. It is too critical a part not to replace. Cheap insurance. Too many fresh builds die a nasty death when corners are cut.
