Gsr Crx idling problem
My 1990 gsr Crx hf is having an idling issue. For instance when I first crank it up when it's cold it will fire up and die down and cut off. However if I crank it up hold steady throttle for a minute or two it will idle but extremely low once it warms up it idles an runs fine. What could be the problem?

have you performed any fuel system manitenance like a new fuel filter, pump etc?

Any Check engine lights?

I would check your tps, iacv, map, and intake air temp sensor (if you have one)

 

Mine was having almost the same exact problem... traced mine to the IACV on the intake manifold... Replaced the IACV and now have perfect cold idle. I would check that first.

 

I had the same issue. (GSR 91 SEDAN). I had the IACV and FITV bypassed. It started up with really low idle and went up as it warmed up. Took both sensors off and cleaned them and turned the screw all the way in on the FITV An hooked them up right and BAAAAM!!!! Lol... runs perfect.

 

Do all the above and clean the throttle body. Someone may have played with the idle screws as well. I know there is a procedure for setting base idle on a B16, yours should be similar.
