I just purchased a set of brand new SKUNK2 Pro-S V2 series suspension for my 95 Civic. I tried to install them today but ran into a problem with the front shocks. I took my old Tokico Blues shocks out of the fork and tried to install the fork on the Skunk2 unit. It couldnt fit so i figured i needed to expand the fork a bit since i had to do that once on my previous car. I ended up expanding the fork a lot (about a half inch gap at the slit opening) and still the shock couldnt go in. When i finally pried it out far enough to get the front shock on, it was so far open that i couldnt get the 14mm bolt back on to close tighten up the fork. The shock seems to be definitely wrong. Anyone else ever have this issue?

I even thought the fork could be the issue so i even removed a fork from an integra and still the same issue. See pick below of the skunk2 shock next to the tokico blues.

yup the box says for 92-95 civic/Del Sol, 94+ integra. SMH wasted a night with these damn shocks while i coulda been home scratching my ***

 

Call Skunk2, there isn't much we can do in this situation.

Looks like whoever owned this 95 civic before me isntalled some 89-91 civic forks which are smaller in diameter to the 92-00 civics. Also that fork i used from a 98 integra, was just informed that the owner also had 89-91 civic forks. What are the odds. FML
