well this seems to be a semi talked about topic, everyone seems to be after the same thing a wiring diagram and or a how to guide you would think with all of the knowledgeable people on a forum like this someone that someone would be willing to help make a wiring diagram or a how to guide or those that have already completed the swap. Now with that said and my rant being over, im deep into doing this swap on my 2000 se sedan in part due to the fact that my existing speedo no longer works. I am an apprentice mechanic at toyota and would greatly appreciate any and all help with this swap while it may be easier to just use a different cluster I dare to be different I sincerely hope I have not offended anyone with this.

 

this is not a common swap for anyone to have on hand. the cluster is going to need to be modded to fit and hack your bezel and in my option its not worth it as it would take a LOAD of work to make it look or fit half way decent even if u did figure out the plugs. EK's have the option of running an 99-00 SI or 97-01 CRV or CTR cluster that plug and play no modification nessisary. Why not buy one of those? ... sounds stupid to hack into your harness and bezel to half *** mount something that dont fit to begin with just because your speedo dont work. how do you know its not the speed sensor itself? It takes alot of work to even make the AP1 and 2 clusters to fit and acually look ok if u fill the gaps or it can look like shyt . I vote against Molesting your car for a gay em2 cluster.

 

OP check you'r vss/wiring to VSS. There are better ideas then hacking a cluster in just because you'r spedo isn't working.

 

ive already purchased the cluster, the 05 civic cluster looks tasteful and it fits in snuggly just requires some very minor trimming. The existing cluster has failed i figured there would be more people willing to share how they did the wiring
