05 honda accord with code in PCM for MAF.
Hello, New to forum, Just purchased 05 Honda Accord. No lights on for service yet when passing smog, I was told MAF code was in computer. I replased MAF. Do I need to reset computer if the check engine light never came on, and will disconeting the battery clear the codes? Thank you Dennis H
I'd clear them to make sure. Check the intake boot for cracks though because that is common on the v6s. And the 4 cylinders are bad about leaking that little vaccum box off the intake tube
You don't have to disconnect the battery to clear codes. Just pull the ECM/PCM fuse in the under-hood fusebox for at least 10 seconds. *Make sure you do this while the car is off.*
Do not have ECM/PCM fuse in fuse box but do have a FI ECU fuse ( maby electronic control unit?). Should I pull that one and try it? Thanks Dennis H
Thank you for the help, No ECM/PCM or nether one in fuse box. There is a FI PCU but I think it is for the Fuel Injectors. Any thing else it would be under? Dennis H
