Default jdm b16 question

My friend cam across a 95 jdm b16a automatic with ecu that supposedly came out of a jdm si or sir civic? If that is true then with b series mounts this should be plug and play in a eg? Just trying to figure this out before he wastes his money. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

here is a link to a thread that could help not sure if it's everything you need to know but there is good info here... and correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure a true jdm b16 never came auto so it might not.be the actual b16 tranny https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/b16-into-eg-2929797/

I just found this, he would be using a vtec engine harness so maybe haveing to wire stuff to the ecu wont be necessary? I would think its just the axles and extending certain sensors.
Might be more trouble than its worth....lol

I agree but a swap is never cheap to begin with

I saw that, that's why I thought he should have no clearance issues in the bay when dropping it. now instead of extending wires would it be easier to use an integra harness which should be the correct lenght and have all the connections? Or a harness from a delsol that had a b16?

Just some info you might find interesting. I was just corrected by juggernautctr about this.
Automatic b16 has single valvesprings on intake side, so be careful revving on it.

Thanks for the info. So maybe what I am assuming is all I need, engine harness from a integra or b16 delsol, that way I won't have to extend wires, b series mounts and auto b series tranny mount, and auto teg axles. The rest should be plug and play affair?

Sorry, not 100% on swap info. To my understanding that's an "easy" swap. Research on ht, there's a LOT of swap threads including swap parts list. Just wanted to point out valve spring diff in case its going to be used for spirited driving. Also, auto trans will be the weakest link if any mods are planned. Not cheap to repair any auto trans.
