With the fairing off I am thinking of things to do, mostly out of boredom.

What do you thing of this photochop?



The wings on the tank are under the clearcoat so they cant be taken off. I think it would look real nice with the bottom of the tank painted. Like so:



Then I started thinking some mroe and came up with this, this is where my lack of photoshop skills really shows. Anyone care to make it better? Throw in some polished lip wheels too, I have no clue how to do that.

i actually like the first pic the best. my buddy has an 02f4i red/silver and was thinking of doin exactly that. im going to have to send him that pic now thanks

hmmmmm.......after studying the pics in more detail the second one is definetly the way to go. i wouldnt know but i bet its not too much $$$$ to paint that little portion of the tank

I think if I could have done the last one well it would be a winner. I estimate it would be about $200 - $300 to paint that little part of the tank. Just a guess.

 

I vote for the middle one. I never really liked how Honda put that "wing" design on the fairings like that. The winged logo on the gas tank is cool enough.

You should see my black/silver 954. I took off the white tail stickers and the side RR stickers. "Poor mans paint job" he he he !! I want to paint it solid black gloss. If I take all the stickers off all I would need to paint black would be the gas tank and the front end. I wonder how much that would cost ???

 

they all sort of resemble the 2002 bmw k1200rs

 

I want pictures! I do agree it would look better w/o the huge blingin' RR on the side.

I can't photo shop on this crappy thing. Get a side pic of a 954 and make the tail solid black and take off the RR sticker on the side. I have also put tiny little flush mounted rear blinkers under the tail. They are a fourth the size of stock but they are 100 times brighter.

 

i meant actual pictures of your bike. I canot photoshop worth a damn anyways.

 

here's an idea on how to make a semi-sleeper: take a 900/929/954 and take all the stickers off and then put f4 stickers on it... you might surprise a lot of unsuspecting 600's and 750's. Almost like taking a civic cx badge and putting it on a fully built b-series turbocharged hatch...

It cost me $200 to have the entire bike painted Red I removed all the stickers. The tank sticker was a pain in the ***!! They had to paint it put the sticker on then clear it. The problem is that it wants to bubble once you start shooting the clear. This is the only sticker currently on my bike.

My 929 looked like that too, red with a carbon look cbr sticker on the mid/upper and a 929RR emblem on the tail. It looked ok, but kinda plain. Plus i am not too fond of an all red bike.

I am currently having it painted to look like the 2002 euro 954RR

 

damn europe gets all the sweet colors!!!!!!!! im jealous that 954 is bad ***

 

I'm sorry, but when I get my bike this winter, the first thing I'm doing is painting it the most "gawdaweful nastiest brightest you couldn't miss it even if you were Hellen Keller kinda blind" color. That's the color I'll ask for at my DuPont dealer when I go in.

Last thing I need is some redneck in a truck running my *** over and saying "but I didn't see 'em... I mean, damn, look a' how teeny that thang is."

I want the rednecks to run screaming "dear sweet lord Jesus of all that is good and pure, it's too bright, make it stop. Make the pain go away!"

 

I like this one, reminds me of the anniversary paint job on the VFR
