Throwout bearing issues, lsvtec EJ8

Throwout bearing issues, lsvtec EJ8
I just recently installed my Lsvtec swap in to my car. I after I bolted the transmission to the block the fork for the throw out bearing came off the throw off bearing. I was able to get the fork into position, but I cant get the fork to move back and forth by hand. Is it supposed to be that way? Or should I be able to move the fork back and forth by hand?
