Default Swap questions

Want to swap my d16z6 with a b series (for power and simplicity of the swap). What are the pros and cons to a b16, or b18?

Will my stock trans bolt up to a b series or will I need to buy the trans with the motor swap?

Will I need to tune the car at all?

After the swap, will it literally be turn-key or will there be some adjustments that need to be made to the computer? (I guess that's very similar to the previous question.)

Don't waste time with the TQ-less b16 it will only get you so far. The GSR(b18C1) is a good engine and can be found for relativly cheap(1.5-2K) or less depending how picky you are. No you'r d-series tranny will not bolt up. I really think you need to do more research before you decide by the looks of it you didn't really seach did you ?. you'd need to get a complete swap ECU,AXLES,TRANNY ENGINE,etc.

Well I'm trying to start budgeting to figure out how much it'll cost, probably be a plan for mid to late summer. Idk if I'm tryna spend 1.5k though.

No way a B-series(vtec engine at least) swap is happening without major ghetto rigging for under/at 1.5K sorry to say.

Pretty sure I've seen b series motors for under $750 on a local car forum. Maybe I was mistaken.

I said a vtec engine tho. you can get a b20(non-vtec) for 700-900 sure. but you need the ecu, axles, mounts, tranny, and any other little things. I've seen people post stoires on here of engines they got for that price range most of them....not pretty.
