Default 95 Civic Coupe z6 electrical gremlin

So here's the story -

I have a 95 coupe, d16z6 vtec engine 5 speed manual. In the coldest mornings it starts fine, no issues. But say I start it, warm it up, and stop to get gas, if I shut the car off it will not start. Sometimes it takes 35-45 minutes before it will even try. You can smell fuel when it's cranking, which would indicate no spark. So I bought a new disty, to no avail. I got to searching around on here and stumbled upon the main relay issue. I thought "Oh joy, it will be fixed!!!" Well i bought a brand new main relay, still being a little ****. All of the grounds look to be well grounded and in place. The wiring harness is not hacked up either. What in god's name is wrong with my little green coupe?

Is this just a continuation of this post?

I feel like it's vacuum related but not sure how to approach it from here.

Little update - I went out to the garage and cleaned up all the grounds. Still no start when warm. Could a ECU cause this issue? Everything listed for this type of problem I have replaced or fixed, from what I could find. I can smell raw fuel after cranking then when it finally catches some fire, it kind of stumbles and wants to die out.

I have a coil if you need one just pm me. But you said you replaced the dizzy so unsure that's the issue. You should just pay $80 to the dealer to diagnose it before you buy something more expensive

z6 has internal coil distributor. Brand new disty, how could the coil be bad?

to me it sounds like you have a fuel issue not an electrical issue!! it starts cold because the plugs dry up over time, then you drive it causing it to run rich and the plugs get saturated, then you go to start and it wont because its got fouled plugs(happens to be warm at this time) you need to look into your injectors/fuel pressure regulator/ etc!! i would start there, especially if you are smelling fuel.....you should never smell fuel

So I got outta work today after putting on a known good FPR, it ran fine at lunch and i left it idle my whole lunch break. When I got in to leave it fired like twice, then wouldnt start for an hour. When it started smoke was flying from exhaust (white) and it stuttered when i reved it up. It acted like it wanted to die out if I didnt hold the throttle. So loading up fuel. What do I need to replace?

Check compression because it sounds like a bad head gasket.

It turned out to be a coolant temp sensor.

Good to know. Makes sense since the issue is temp related.
