Default Reverse Mini Me swap

I bought a car from a friend who did a reverse mini me swap on it. It has a d16y8 block and a 1.5 head. It has full obd1 swap as well and is a 5-speed. I am looking for a way to get the most power out of this engine that I can without switching it to full VTEC and adding different cam. Any advice?

You're going to have to boost it to make worth while power.

Dont really want to boost it I would have to do alot more work to that engine before it could hold turbo. Just looking for some quick tips on getting more horsepower out of it without major engine mods.

It's a D. You aren't going to get more power out of it.

It would prob be better to switch it to full VTEC. Seems like I would have more to work with.
