Default My Rex and tear down of head ****PICS*****
































i only paid 600 for the car so i think i got an alright deal on it and it was also my first time ever lapping valves so im not sure how good they came out or what there supposed to look like when done

I'm stationed in Pearl Harbor for the next 4 years so this might be a 4 year build/daily hoping to b16 turbo it within the next year.

I used a really soft wire wheel on a drill at a semi slow speed... Didn't scratch the piston or anything just pulled the carbon off. After it was clean I used a rag in brake cleaner

No problem just make sure you set every piston to tdc so that you don't hit the cylinder wall also if your head gasket is stuck to the block or head the wire wheel takes that off with no problem either and be sure to check how soft the wheel is I used a rough one which I thought was soft to take the head gasket off first and it scratched my head up a little
