I have a new set of wheels painted in ugly light gold with a polished lip, entire wheel has a clear coat.
A local pc'er does not deal with chemicals, they can only sandblast and powder coat.
For me to keep my polished lip I plan on stripping the clearcoat and paint, but what should I do, if anything, to keep the wheel from rusting before I drop it off to get powder coated?
They'll be able to mask the lip and powder coat the bare wheel, then clear the entire wheel so I need to make sure everything is ok when it gets to them.
I found some stuff called Peeler or Aircraft Peeler by Klean Strip made to peel clear and basecoats. Is it as easy as it sounds to just spray, strip, repeat...?
