Rubbing alcohol in gas does it work???
this one mechanic told me that hes been doing this to his cars for years .and that it cleans out everything like the cat,valves,intake manifold and so on. i was just wondering if this was true???But he was also putting it in v-8's and supposly it boost your octane up 8 points??

i know of certain chemicals that you do put in gasoline engines. alcohol and paint thinner are part of the mix. it doesn't hurt your car if you do it once every 10k or something but frequently it will make your car weak.
