Default exhaust

im looking for an exhaust system for my hatch.

im leaning towards a Yonaka catback since i really dont want it to be loud at all.
After reading reviews an seeing videos of it, I was wondering is there any cons toward this purchase?
Anything will help.
thanks

Do it! I just got the yonaka exhaust for my sedan single cam and it sounds amazing. It's not raspy or ricy and adds a really nice low tone. If you're lucky there is a guy clearing them out on ebay for 240ish. The only con I have was a fittment issue. Granite it was probably made only for coupe (said it would fit sedan and coupe, and everyone says they are the same) but I just had a guy make an extesion for me. Hope this helps

Got it on my CTR. Only used the Curve and axle back sections. Be aware the Midsection scales down from 2.38 inch to 2 inch. wont matter if you are running stock D series header. but wont mount up to a B series, nor would you want it to.

Over all I love the exhaust, isnt loud, sounds good, no complaints.

For an eg hatch be prepared to have to get different rubber hangers if you want it to fit better, especially for the axelback section. The muffler hangs down way too far. Also be prepared to bend up the rear heat sheild so it doesnt rattle on it. I also cut off the huge ugly tip and replaced with a smaller tip.
Looks decent on coupes and sedans but on a hatch the tip sticks out way too far.

I have also measured every single opening and it doesnt tapper off to a 2 in. It says its a 60mm catback and every opening I measured with a caliper read 57mm ID. The gaskets measured 52mm ID.

Lol thanks Tercel95, not a huge college fan, just matches the car and looks better than our regular alabama tags.

Juggarnaut-CTR, The yonaka quiet catback for 96-00 Civic 3dr's does scale down, as well as the one it is a knock off of the apexi ws2 which also scales down to 2 inchs. The reason for it is that the stock US spec hatchbacks had the catalytic converters in the header rather than after, and used 2 inch piping. Only catback I know for a fact doesn't scale down is the Skunk2 megapower catback and HKS windmaster exhaust that came on my car when it was shipped lol.

I just used the HKS mid pipe and the rest came from the Yonaka kit. I like the tip as well, its no where near as big as most other standard catbacks, and in my opinion doesnt stick out very far at least on my car. I did have to bend the hangers on the muffler to get it off the rear sway bar. But other than that no problems.
