You might not want to hear this, but I would just swap in a newer motor since you are wanting to go obd1. Why were you wanting to remap the current ECU?

Hi pal. This engine is going turbo'd.

I'm looking for a way to convert it to a obd0 or obd1 so that I can map it using turbo edit.

Thanks.

You have any details about the vehicle? I'm not really familiar with the older vehicles with the 12 valve motors. I personally wouldn't even bother with that motor. You can pick up 16v sohc VTEC motors all day for cheap. Sorry that I can't provide anymore insight. I'm sure someone will.

Don't really know much about this generation pgmfi either, and I hope you don't mind my input but here it is.

I highly doubt you can use an 0bd0-obd1 distributor and injectors on these motors without fully customising those parts and the harness, but I could be wrong. I think your easier and maybe cheapest option would be to run something like megasquirt but I could be totally off again. Depending on your horsepower goal, an option that I would consider to be better would be to swap in a vtec or non-vtec d-series using the hasport mounts and go from there. But sometimes its not all about logic I know.

If it can give you hope, a guy on yota-tech converted his 1984 22re toyota pickup fuel injection with honda distributor (custom built with the 22re dizzy), harness, sensors, injectors and ecu and runs hondata.

Hi guys. I know its been done before but its a very old skool thing now. There's some half spoons worth of information dotted about the internet but I havnt managed to get hold of anyone who has tried and tested it yet.

Swapping the motor out is out the question I'm Afriad. The easiest option for me would run a fuel management unit and a dynamics/msd ignition retarder however I can't help but think that's a bit hillbilly!

I know I'd need a ecu from a obd0 car which is chippable (I hav a PP4)

I know I'd need to conver that ecu onto the interior harness (easy)

What I don't know is which 0bd0 dizzy fits this head and what over sensors are needed to run the later ecu.

Thanks.
