225 40 18 rubbing???
I am thinking about getting some 18s for the GSR. Right now i have 16s and my car is lowered. I just got a wingswest RS2 kit and now im going to have to raise my car up to keep from scraping, so I am going to get bigger wheels. (bigger wheels will raise it up some too) Anyway will 225 tires rub?
thanks
thanks
i have the same question. i have 225 50 16 on my gsr with 1.8 drop all around. i think it might be rubbing but im not sure. can anyone help me? will rolling out the fenders help?

that tire size is WAY huge for Integras. That will really hurt your gearing, not to mention you will be travelling faster than the speedometer actually shows (possibly speeding w/o knowing it). 205/45-16 is the proper size for Integras.

i am dropped 1.3inches and i roll my 215/35/18's and trust me you don't wanna go much bigger and i have a 45mm offset on my wheels. i would go 17's if i had a choice look at tire prices (OUCH)
if you absolutely have to go 18 (and I beg you not to), you should go 205/35/18 if they make that tire...your speedo will thank you. Or you might be able to go 215/30/18. I say, stick with 16. It looks the best on tegs and you won't hurt performance.
i would think most 225 width tire will rub on a teg.
I tried putting my friend's 17's off his 88 prelude SI with a 225 width tire on my teg, and when i put my car down onto the ground, the tires edges were just laying on the fender. Now thats what i call rubbing. A different offset might've helped, but then i still know it would've rubbed on the insides of the wheel well.
Now he's got 205 width tires on those same wheels and i tried em on my car and they fit perfect.

i got 225/40/18 and they do rub on hard turning. I had 16s before on progress springs... when i got the 18s i actually had to raise the car (coilovers). with the 18s you will have to roll the rear fenders. 215/35/18 are better and fit ok, but i dont like skinny tires when looking from the rear.
18s are big, but thats what makes it tight ! IMO of course
