Default Flaring the front fender.

Im going to need to get some fender work done on my DC2R to fit 17x9.5 +40 rims with 245/40/17 tires up front.
Ive been doing some searching and I cant seem to find modified stock front fenders. Im not looking to do the addon fender flare like the J's.
Has anyone taken their stock fender and flared them like cutting and pulling?
I'm looking for an inch or so of extra clearance.

flaring fenders is just a more extreme version of rolling fenders. it's mainly stretching the lip with pressure. Not familiar with doing this on the DC2 but done it a few times on other cars. Not sure if i can help in regards to the specs wheels you would be using.

I did this for my GC8. The thing I dont like about it is, the gap between the fender and the tire is actually increased due to the fender lip flipped up. I dont like lowering my car too much. Thats why Im looking for alternate solutions

Thanks!

There is also a JDM company that makes that same fender in fiberglass but I can't think of the name of the company at the moment.

That orange ITR fender is all metal..

In addition to the add-on flare, J's actually makes a wide fender for DC2. You might want to check into that (hope the link works):

Yea J's makes one but, there is another company that has a flared out fender with no vents and I can't remember who it is.

The J's one is similar to what I want minus the vents. But the extra 15 is not enough. So I'll prb go the custom made route.
Id like to take a look at the other company that makes it without the vents.

Thanks. I sometimes post pics of my GC8 in the WRX thread. Too bad there is no Exige thread on hondatech.

You can browse around the albums here.

Shift Sports maybe? I believe they offered a 15mm widened fender.

Thanks! This is exactly what I want. Ive decided to take my OEM fenders and have my bodyshop do it like the Seeker one. Cuz I'll need an extra 25-30mm. Im not sure if the aftermarket ones give me that much extra clearance.

Cheers.
