grounding my wires

Default grounding my wires

Did a upgrade. My question is do that all need to be linked to the negative

There's no reason to. Just run them as stock.

well, having thicker ground wires won't hurt. thicker wires = less resistance.
OP, if you do plan on upgrading to thicker ground wires, just go to 4 gauge and remember to sand down where the ground will be bolted down to

I never said thicker ground wires would hurt. He said he already upgraded them. I simply said there's no reason to run the new wires than how the old wires were.

There is a certain point where your wire can be too large, but I don't think anyone's actually interested in the electromechanics behind it. Suffice to say, don't bother going higher than 4g small-wound wire. Definitely don't use large-wound wire - you'll only end up hating life.

I did 4 gauge for the battery ground and 8 everywhere else. Just didn't know if they should all be linked together

Nope, just run them the same way the stock wires are run. Ultimately, they already are linked together. Your battery ground runs to the chassis, as do all of the other grounds. They're all connected through the chassis itself.
