So, I just had a JDM part importer tell me that the 'new' ones we get here in the states are actually rebuilt using chinese/taiwan parts. I dont want to say he is straight up wrong, definitely going to ask him to back it up but does anyone else know anything about this? I do know standard hardware (bolts, etc.) are not what they used to be.

Any input would be much appreciated.

 

New from Honda is new. "New" from elsewhere is not.
