Hey friends. Im new to this site and i just bought my second Honda but first project. I acquired a 97 Honda Civic Hatch EK4 not sure what the model is though.. Its got an EM1 front, B16A2 engine, coil overs and some suspension work. Im not very knowledgeable and any advice is appreciated.
When i bought it the hood latch is connected to a wire and the wire runs inside the car under the dash. i have to pull a bolt at the end of the wire to open the hood and sometimes it doesnt even open. Is there any possible way to get it to run back to the original latch in the car to open?
Also when i bought it he said the bad thing was the light. i have to open the hood and plug in the hids to another wire to turn on the lights. (Sometimes the hood doesnt open) How do i relay that wire back to the original light switch inside the car?
One last thing.. The ECU is stting inside my car under the dash. Is there any way to hide it?
ill post pics if all this stuff as soon as the trial membership is done.
Any advide is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

EM1 front? sooo a 99-00 front end with an Si lip.
Reinstall the hood release cable.
Possibly remove HIDs and put halogens back in. You may have to provide more information and upload pictures.
The ECU was originally mounted on the passenger side kick panel behind plastic.

I have my ecu tucked behind the carpet under the glove box that's always an option. Those lights do look like a mess im guessing you'll be putting the stock ones back in.

Yea. Idk what the guy i bought it from was trying to do. Everything's a mess. Idk where to start. I have no coue how to even begin the light situation and pulling the bolt for the hood is annoying. Sometimes the hood doesn't open. I don't go out at night LOL
I pull the carpet a little and the guy had Velcro on it. So I'll take a closer look tomorrow. Hope I can bolt it up.

Found that the hood release inside the car is broken..
Anyone got any advice as far the hood and headlights situation??

How haven't you figured out that you need to replace anything that's broken? It's called a "repair".
Also remove those busted HIDs and put in proper bulbs. You keep saying a "wire" but never mention which wire? And all your pics are now gone.
