Help on my b16a2 civic si
Okay So I have all the bolt ons, headers, intake, and headers. I plan on getting better ones later but what should i do next? Im not trying to turbo till i have money to back everything up. Should i get cam gears? Not sure just what should I do next? i read and cant find anything
And is this a waste? And what size pistons is this for? http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/...e00000042.html
You have multiple headers ?....no you have just one we have inline 4 engines with ONE head. That being said Cams(Springs+retainers also),increase comp, larger Throttlebody/intake manifold then get it tuned. Thats if you don't want to touch the block. Cam gears on the Skunk2 tuner series aren't really worth it for the price of the gears+getting them tuned/set.
so i need 4 of these? http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/...e_body/skunk2/
Port and polish if you have the money but do it last after cams/increased comp. no you just need one throttle body. i was saying we have just one "header" since we have only one head unlike a "V engine".

Cams easy, springs+retainers if you leave the head on easy will be a little harder if you need to take it off(the head). Skunk2 don't deal with andys auto.
thers a part 2 but it's all very simple
Nope I said adjustible cam gears on Skunk2's "tuner series' of camshaft is not worth it. On the "pro series" it is don't know if you're going to increase comp enough to run those tho. if you go with the pro series you'll lose some "streetablitly" of you'r car the tuner series is great for dd/weekend car IMHO.
is this goodp? or should i buy seperate? http://www.procivic.com/pages-produc...360/index.html
The stage 1 is basicly an ITR/CTR cam(not worth what you pay) The tuner 2,3's REQUIRE springs + retainers. I have the tuner 2's+retainers and springs. yes just keep the stock gears save you'r self 200$ and put it towards a tune. The difference is the MAX lift+duration and the hp gains here look on S2's offical website:https://store.skunk2.com/engine-tuni...camshafts.html. you can edit posts btw so you don't have to make 3
Okay so I can get the stage 3, those skunk2 retainers and spring set, a skunk2 manifold and throttle body combo off eBay, and a good tune. If I also got a port and polish could it beat srt4?
No clue to much to factor in. But you can't just drop tuner 3's in do you have at least 11.0.0 compression ?. you'll be losing power research "over-camming" before you buy.
Stage 2 would love a bumped C/R(i have mine bumped) but is not needed. Skunk2 is a good brand no reason why it wouldn't/shouldn't run good(unless something goes wrong during install)
No, head work isn't going to make you faster than an SRT-4, which is turbo from the factory. Also, you aren't going to raise compression without ripping apart the motor - it just doesn't work that way. Cams aren't going to make any noticeable difference in a stock motor. Stop trying to waste money on your car. If you want your car to actually go faster, start saving up and/or piecing together a turbo setup.
While you're at it, take ten minutes to stop and read the FAQ's. There are a ton of resources there that have been compiled to answer all of your questions.
Also, calling Skunk2 a "good company" is like calling coke a "safe drug".

Some of their stuff overpriced/Junk yes. but it's not a bad place to start with you'r build if you're still in school with not a lot of money and want to keep it simple.
Skunk2 is not a company worth supporting. There are plenty of other options, and plenty of other companies that make better product for a lower price. There are also plenty of other companies out there that don't put a bounty on someone for showing off how shitty their hardware is.
